Day 1: Okahandja, Namibia

In the morning of your Namibia tour you will depart from Windhoek to the north. At Okahandja- the former tribal center of the Herero people and old mission stationyou willvisit some Herero graves, the cemetery of the German Schutztruppe and the Kavango woodcarver’s market.

You will drive via Otjiwarongo and Otavi to Tsumeb. The 'Cultural village', being an open air museum, invites tourists to get an insight into the rural life of Namibian tribes. It displays the life of the majority of Namibians and tells about their history and culture as well as showing their work and skills in arts and crafts.You will have lunch en route. Dinner / bed / breakfast. You will overnight atMakalani Hotel.

Day 2: Farm Hedwigslust, Namibia

After breakfast depart to Treesleeper Camp near Tsintsabis. It is home to the Hei//omn Bushmen, the former habitants of Etosha and its surroundings, and the !Kung Bushmen. Until recently the Bushmen practiced a lifestyle of hunting and gathering. They will show you their traditional way of life in a “Historic living Village”.

After a light lunch proceed to Farm Hedwigslust, the home of the Ombili foundation. Attempts are made to teach Bushmen (350 are living on the farm) to get used to sow,

maintain and harvest – become “farmers” and no longer hunters because their base of living, game, is extinct. As the Ombili foundation is financing this project through donations, a gratitude of app. N$ 50.00 is very welcome. In the afternoon Game drive in Etosha National Park.Dinner, bed and breakfast. Accommodation at Mokuti Lodge.

Day 3: Ovamboland, Namibia

Drive north to Ovamboland, the most densely populated region of NamibiaThe Ovambo are divided into 8 sub-tribes. The first stopwill be the Nakambale Museum at Olukondo, that represents the present and the past of the role of the Finnish Mission, the church and the local cultures.

Visit the Ngonga homestead, observe a demonstration of wheat-crushing, basket-weaving, hair-plaiting, traditional dancing and music, etc. A traditional lunch will be served. Afterwards you will proceed to Oshakati via Ondongwa. Dinner / bed / breakfast. Overnight atOshakati Country Lodge.

Day 4: Ovamboland, Namibia

Travelthroughthe western Ovamboland. Flat, sandy plains dotted with Makalani palms, savannah grasslands and Mopane woodlands characterise this landscape. Different attractions will be visited. You will continue to Opuwo via Ruacana. Lunch packs en route. Dinner / Bed /Breakfast. Overnight atOpuwo CountryLodge.

Day 5: Opuwo, Namibia

Today a typical Himba settlement will be visited. The Himba, a sub-tribe of the Herero - are nomads who are still living their old tradition and culture. Their cattle are their wealth and so they are roving around the area to feed them. That's why there are several deserted settlements to be seen along the way.

A local guide, accompanying the group, will negotiate a visit to a 'Kraal' with the headman of the tribe and will explain the lifestyle and the culture of the Himba. Afterwards you will return to Opuwo and proceed in asouthern direction to Hobatere Lodge at the western border of the Etosha National Park. In the afternoon a game drive will take place. Dinner / Bed /Breakfast. Overnight at Hobatere Lodge.

Day 6: Etosha National Park, Namibia

Travel through the western part of Etosha National Park during your Namibia tour. The Oryx and many other antelopes prefer this region. West of Okaukuejo is the well known 'Sprokieswoud' (Phantom or Fairy Forest), the only location where the African Moringa tree grows in a flat area.

Enjoy your lunch pack en route. At the floodlit waterholewildlife can be viewed throughout the day as well as at night. Dinner /bed / breakfast. Overnight at Okaukuejo Restcamp.

Day 7: Windhoek, Namibia

You will goon a short game drive in the morning before leaving the Etosha National Park. Return to Windhoek via Outjo, Otjiwarongo and Okahandja. Lunch en route. You will arrive in Windhoek in the afternoon. Dinner / Bed /Breakfast. Overnight at Safari Court.

Day 8: Windhoek, Namibia

Drive from Windhoek via Dordabis and visit the oldest Karakul weavery of Namibia - Uhlenhorst and Stampriet to the Auab Lodge. Lunch will be served at Bitterwasser Lodge. Dinner / Bed /Breakfast. Overnight at Stoney's Country Hotel.

Day 10: Fish River Canyon, Namibia

Visit the Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon of the world. This gigantic ravine, in places almost 500 metres (1640.4 feet)deep, has been gorged out of avast undulating plain in the course of thousands of years. Proceed to Lüderitz via Seeheim and Aus.

This drive takes you through intriguing 'moon' landscape of endless desert vistas and bizarre rock formations. Bedand Breakfast. Overnightat Nest Hotel.

Day 11: Luderitz, Namibia

Day 12: Aus, Namibia

Drive back through the restricted diamond area to Aus and the scenic Neisip Plain. Dinner / Bed / Breakfast.Overnight at Hammerstein Lodge.

Day 13: Sossusvlei, Namibia

In the early morning depart to an excursion to the Sesriem Canyon and Sossusvlei, a large clay pan in the centreof the Namib Naukluft Park, surrounded by the highest sand dunes in the world. In the late afternoon take part in a spectacular dune drive including a sundowner on the top of the dunes. Dinner/bed/breakfast at Namib Desert Lodge.

Day 14: Windhoek, Namibia

Drive via Reemhoogte Pass and Rehoboth to the Oanob Dam. Return to Windhoek. Arrival in the late afternoon.
